Dr Margaret Murray
Margaret Murray (1863-1963) was a renowned British Egyptologist. She was born in Calcutta and trained under Flinders Petrie to become the first full-time female Egyptologist. She taught at University College London and gained the chair in Egyptology there in 1924. She excavated in Malta, Minorca and Petra as well as in Egypt.
